Hygge Yoga – Cosy Restorative Yoga

Service Description

This Winter, embrace the Danish concept of "Hygge" (cosiness) to nurture rest, warmth, and comfort. This monthly workshop will create an inviting space for deep relaxation and self-care, offering a perfect winter escape. My “Hygge Yoga” invites you to experience a cocoon of warmth and comfort, akin to curling up by a fireplace on a cold winter night. The practice will focus on deeply restorative yoga and soothing breathwork, with plenty of support from props like blankets, bolsters, and pillows. The goal is to help students fully surrender into relaxation, melting away any tension and stress brought on by the winter months. Soft lighting will add to the cosiness, with string lights or lanterns scattered throughout the space. The combination of gentle visuals and warm lighting will evoke the essence of hygge, helping you feel safe, comfortable, and connected to the seasonal rhythm. The restorative yoga session will focus on a series of supported postures that allow the body to completely relax and restore itself. Wear warm, comfortable clothing, and bring soft blankets to feel cocooned in warmth. To conclude our soothing winter session, we will finish with a guided relaxation of Yoga Nidra to provide an opportunity for deep rest and renewal, with calming scents to enhance the experience. Herbal Tea & Community: After practice enjoy herbal tea offering a chance to bond with fellow participants, through shared moments of comfort, conversation, and community.
